Intumescent Downlighter Covers

Use:
Envirograf® intumescent downlighter covers and fire cages are indicated for use in fire-rated and suspended ceilings, in order to contain fire and maintain the ceiling's fire rating.

Performance:
Only Envirograf® covers have passed all relevant British Standards tests on types of ceilings, complying with document B of UK Building regulations and the revised 16th edition IEE regulations.

Intumescent Tents for recessed light units

Use:
Envirograf® intumescent tents are utilised where recessed fluorescent light fittings are installed above suspended or fire-rated ceilings, in order to maintain the fire integrity of the ceiling.

Acoustic Downlighter Covers and Cages

Use:
Envirograf® acoustic downlighter covers can be used in areas that require good absorption of airborne and impact sound, such as businesses and shops below residential apartments and between floors of residential apartments. Acoustic covers have been fully tested at the Building Test Centre. Reports are available on request.

Performance:
Only Envirograf® covers have passed all relevant British Standards tests on types of ceilings, complying with document B of UK Building regulations and the revised 16th edition IEE regulations.

Intumescent Pads

Use:
The pads are adhered to the inside of metal or plastic electrical trunking at points where the trunking passes through fire barrier floors or walls. They provide protection whilst allowing easy access to the cables. In a fire, the intumescent material expands, filling the trunking and preventing the passage of fire. Sets of two or three pads are supplied for larger trunking. Different protection is required for plastic trunking passing through hollow partition walls, and we refer you to our Product 110/H for this.

Intumescent Cable Tray Pillow

Use:
Envirograf® cable tray pillows should be used where cable trays penetrate ceilings, floors, and walls, to fill the opening and protect it from the passage of fire. The retention wire and tag are fitted to the cable tray as a safeguard against removal of the pillow during maintenance

Intumescent Gaskets

Use:
Envirograf® intumescent gaskets should be used where electrical conduits, boxes, pattresses, or trunking penetrates fire floors or fire walls, in order to arrest the spread of fire through the electrical system. There is no restriction to cable movement when fitted, but the intumescent expands in a fire, causing it to fill the cavity in the box, conduit, etc. Envirograf® acoustic protection covers are indicated to reduce sound transmission through electrical wiring boxes. Envirograf® intumescent gaskets and acoustic protection covers, plus new electrical boxes with pre-fitted intumescent gaskets are the simplest way to provide passive fire protection to electrical installations, either as refurbishment projects or new installations.
