Intumescent Base Coat 30/60min

Use:
The different coatings are colour-coded to provide a visual indication of the progress of coating, ensuring that all coats are applied as intended. The primer coat is red, followed by a water-based intumescent coating in blue, green, rose, yellow, or white, with a top protective coat finished to any BS colour. Where the steel is in an external situation, application of Envirograf® EP/FS/UC undercoat is required, followed by EP/FS/TC top coat. See the product data sheet for the full specification and the application details. It can be applied over existing interior or exterior layers of gloss and emulsion paint, after thorough cleaning and preparation (including removal of any loose particles).

Can be applied by brush, roller, or spray. Supplied in 1kg, 2½kg, 5kg, 10kg, and 25kg containers.

Envirograf® HW range intumescent coatings (white or clear) are used to achieve a BS 476 Parts 6 and 7 (1987) fire protection for up to 60 minutes and Class 0 and Class 1 resistance to surface flame spread, dependent on the material, its surface condition, and its thickness. The HW coatings can be applied over suitable existing paints or varnishes, and they can also be finished by painting over with good quality paint or varnish (NOT cheap trade paints). The AEC acrylic coatings are suited to painting over HW01

Clear Coat Fire Proof Varnish, Class O Surface Spread Of Flame

For standard purposes, Envirograf® Product 42 (HW03) clear coating (exterior use) or Envirograf® Product 42 (HW04TC) white coating (interior use) must be used as a top sealer coat. For areas subject to hard wear, Envirograf® Product 42 (HW05) clear coating must be used as a top sealer coat. For purposes of extremely hard wear, such as bar tops etc, specify Envirograf® Product 42 (HW05 with hardener).
